Based in the Auvergne Rhône-Alpes region, BM Environnement was founded in 2008 by Serge Ponton and Bernard Mondon. The company offers a complete biowaste treatment service (food and plant waste) to local authorities, agri-food manufacturers and private individuals. The company, with sales of nearly €6 million, has enjoyed sustained growth (over 20% since 2017), driven by development in the methanization market.
This segment of the recycling market is experiencing strong growth, driven by the regulatory framework. Since 2016, producers of over 10 tons of bio-waste have been required to sort it at the source. The outlook is also favorable as this requirement will be extended in 2023 to companies generating more than 5 tons of bio-waste per year, and in 2025 to individuals, as stipulated in the Energy Transition Law.
Serge Ponton, current CEO, will join the 2B Services Innovations management committee, alongside Richard Molina (Chairman and Founder) and Jérôme Chalençon (Managing Director). Richard Molina is delighted: "This is a major step forward for our group, as we aim to become a leading player in the highly specialized recycling business, which represents the future of this market. Thanks to the support and common vision we share with our shareholders, in particular Capital Export, we are pursuing our ambitious development strategy, with the aim of reaching sales of nearly €35 million within 5 years.
Based in the Ardèche region, 2B Services Innovations has specialized since 1993 in the recycling and recovery of concrete utility poles from electrical, telecommunications, and railway networks. Its clients include SNCF, Orange, and EDF.
By joining 2B Services Innovations, BM Environnement will gain the support needed to expand its footprint within France before targeting international markets. The newly combined entity is expected to generate a consolidated revenue exceeding €20 million.
Clairfield International acted as exclusive advisor to the shareholders of 2B Services Innovations.
