BM Environnement is based in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region and was founded in 2008 by Serge Ponton and Bernard Mondon. The company offers full biowaste treatment services (food and plant waste) to local authorities, agri-food manufacturers, and individuals. With nearly €6 million in revenue, the company has delivered sustained growth (over 20% since 2017), driven by expansion in the methanization market.
This segment of the recycling market is experiencing strong growth due to regulatory shifts in France. Since 2016, producers of over 10 tons of bio-waste have been required to separate it at the source. The outlook is bright: this requirement will be extended in 2023 to companies generating more than 5 tons of bio-waste per year and in 2025 to individuals, under the French Energy Transition Law.
Serge Ponton, the current CEO, will join the 2B Services Innovations management committee, alongside Richard Molina (Chairman and Founder) and Jérôme Chalençon (Managing Director). Richard Molina is delighted: "This is a major step forward for our group, as we aim to become a leading player in the highly specialized recycling business, which represents the future of this market. Thanks to the support of and shared vision with our shareholders, in particular Capital Export, we are pursuing an ambitious development strategy, aiming to reach sales of nearly €35 million within 5 years."
Founded in 1993 in the Ardèche region, 2B Services Innovations specializes in the recycling and recovery of concrete utility poles from electrical, telecommunications, and railway networks. Its clients include SNCF, Orange, and EDF.
By joining 2B Services Innovations, BM Environnement will gain the support it needs to expand its reach across France before targeting international markets. This new entity is expected to generate consolidated revenues exceeding €20 million.
Clairfield International acted as exclusive advisor to the shareholders of 2B Services Innovations.
