Proconect, backed by Capital Export, takes over Minilampe

Based in Nantes, France, Proconect specializes in power connectors for the transport (rail, port, airport, trucks) and mining sectors. The company generates nearly 70% of its revenue from exports.

Capital Export acquired a majority stake in Proconect in July 2020 to support the company’s takeover by Béatrice Barokhel. The objective is to build a leader in electrical and electronic equipment for complex, critical environments in the transport sector, with the aim of rapidly increasing revenue. This strategy requires strong organic growth and an active, selective acquisition policy, with Minilampe as a key step. Other acquisitions are currently under review.

Minilampe, based in Carcassonne, France, designs and sells custom lighting solutions for the aeronautics, defense, rail, industrial, and marine sectors. The company has longstanding expertise in incandescent light bulb production, with a reputation for high quality.

The new entity, with around 50 employees, is expected to generate nearly €15 million in revenue for the current financial year.
