Proconect Group, backed by Capital Export, takes over Minilampe

Since its takeover by Capital Export and Béatrice Barokhel, industrial plug manufacturer Proconect has clearly signaled its ambitions: to spearhead a group positioned as a market consolidator. The acquisition of Minilampe, a creator of lighting solutions for over 70 years, is a key part of this strategy.

Proconect Group, backed by Capital Export, takes over Minilampe

Based in Nantes, Proconect specializes in power connectors for the transport (rail, port, airport, heavy trucks) and mining sectors. The company generates nearly 70% of its revenue through exports.

Capital Export became the majority shareholder of Proconect in July 2020 to support the company’s takeover by Béatrice Barokhel. The new partners’ objective is to build a leading group in electrical/electronic equipment for complex and critical environments within the Transport sector, with a drive to rapidly increase revenue. This strategy relies on Proconect’s strong organic development and an active and selective external growth policy, of which Minilampe constitutes a new milestone. Other acquisitions are currently under study.

Established in Carcassonne, France, Minilampe designs and markets custom lighting solutions for the aeronautics, defense, rail, industrial, and marine sectors. The company possesses historical expertise in manufacturing incandescent lamps and masters their production with a rare level of quality.

The new entity, which brings together around fifty employees, is set to generate nearly €15 million in revenue for the current financial year.
