Manufacturer and supplier of electronic and electrical equipment for complex and harsh environments
Founded in 1981, Proconect designs, assembles, and distributes power connectors for complex industrial applications in critical environments. The company boasts recognized expertise in the railway, port, airport, and mining sectors, as well as with heavy truck manufacturers. Proconect products are sold through a network of distributors established and operating across various regions of the world (Europe, Asia, South America, Oceania), allowing the company to generate 70% of its revenue from exports. Since July 2021, the Group has integrated Minilampe, a manufacturer of industrial lighting solutions. Historically specialized in the manufacture of incandescent lamps for railway signaling—a field in which it is the sole master of filament production and glass working—this SME has since expanded its offering to LED lighting. It serves players in the railway sector as well as in aerospace, defense, and the marine industry. In July 2020, Béatrice Barokhel succeeded the company’s founder, Bertrand Courtaigne, becoming Chairwoman and CEO after 29 years of experience within the company. On the occasion of this transition, the company welcomed Capital Export as a majority shareholder and strategic partner. Our shared project consists of implementing a development strategy aimed at building a group with €25 million in revenue within five years, acting as a leading player in the supply of electrical equipment for complex and critical environments. This strategy is based on strong organic growth momentum as well as an active and selective external growth policy targeting companies with related products and markets. The company can thus pursue an ambitious development project, both in France and internationally, thanks notably to the numerous tools, networks, and value creation levers provided by Capital Export. Shortly after its initial investment, in July 2021, Capital Export supported the acquisition of Minilampe, an established creator of lighting solutions for complex environments. In less than two years, the company's revenue has more than doubled. In parallel, numerous growth projects have been launched in France and internationally.
