Group specializing in the recycling of hazardous or critical waste (hazardous wood, bio-waste) and the manufacture of composite poles.
Founded in 1993 by Richard Molina, Groupe 2B Environnement specializes in the recycling (collection, treatment, recovery) of infrastructure waste such as concrete poles and Class C-treated wooden sleepers, mainly from power, telecom and rail networks. The company has several recycling sites in France, and works on behalf of leading customers. Since November 2020, the Group has also had a subsidiary specializing in bio-waste recovery. Since September 2021, the group has been manufacturing composite poles to replace recycled poles. Capital Export will acquire a stake in 2B Environnement in July 2019. Richard Molina, the company's founder, and Jérôme Chalençon, who took up the position of Managing Director in 2017, have based their development plan on 2 major strategic axes: Consolidate and expand the scope of historical activities by increasing processing capacities and setting up new shredding units;
Broaden the current strategic positioning by targeting external growth opportunities, particularly in Europe.
The managers were convinced by the human and pragmatic approach of Capital Export's teams and their ability to be a driving force in strategic support. The partnership has proved fruitful, with one acquisition (BM Environnement, a €6 million bio-waste recovery business) and the creation of a new site following the winning of a major tender for the manufacture of composite poles, thus completing the historic value chain in which the Group has been positioned since the outset. Capital Export and 2B Environnement are continuing to pursue the other axes defined, with numerous projects underway in France and abroad.
